National Night Out (NNO) is an annual event started in1984. The goal of NNO is to create a sense of community and to promote crime prevention and safety awareness. This is also a great opportunity to meet neighbors, get to know local law enforcement officers, and work together to make the Englewood, Greenwood Village, and Centennial communities a safer place.
In the 42 years since it's inception, 38 million + people across 17,000 communities have come together on the first Tuesday of August to take part in National Night Out events such as block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and various other community events.
This year, National Night Out takes place the evening of Tuesday, August 4th! Check out some of our local events below!
👮 National Night Out with Arapahoe County Sherrifs Department
- Location: Multiple Locations (find locations on their event calendar)
- Each year, we attend six to eight different community events, bringing K-9 demos, vehicles, SWAT and Bomb trucks, and agency members who are at the ready to answer your questions!
- 6pm - 8pm
👮 National Night Out with Cherry Hills Village Police
- Date: August 4th
- Location: John Meade Park
- Enjoy a night of food, games, and lots of fun!
- 4:30pm - 7:30pm
👮 National Night Out with the Denver Police Department
- Location: Multiple Locations
- Come together for food, fun and friendship.
- 3pm - 8pm
👮 National Night Out with Englewood Police Department
- The evening typically consists of neighbors coming together and throwing a block party, where police and city officials can join in on the fun. Englewood will provide free barricades to ensure your street is closed safely. So talk to your neighbors and plan a gathering to celebrate! You can even expect a visit from Englewood Police or the fire department! Submit your application HERE

👮 National Night Out with Sheridan Police
- Location: Sheridan City Hall Front Lawn, 4101 S. Federal Blvd.
- Meet your local Sheridan Police Officers, Watch an exciting K-9 Demonstration, Enjoy Face Painting, Bounce and play in our Jumping Castles, Listen to great Music, and Connect with your neighbors and community partners.
