Expectant moms around the world have all heard: "You look ready to pop!" Playing on this oh-so-common catchphrase, here is a fun (and easy!) game that is perfect for a baby shower. It's called "'About to Pop' Cake Pops." While these cake pops look like your average dessert, one of them actually contains a silly surprise.

Supplies Needed:

  • Ingredients for cake pops (cake mix, frosting, lollipop sticks, melting candy wafers)
  • Little toy baby - I purchased mine at a local craft store.
  • Packaging (optional)

Instructions:

  • Prepare a batch of cake pops as normal. In one of the cake balls, be sure to add a small toy baby.
  • The rules are simple:
    • Have each guest select a cake pop & take a bite.
    • The person who finds a baby inside must shout, "I'm with child!" They have won the game!

Macaroni Tips:

  • Make sure all your cake pops are similar in size so that it isn't obvious to your guests as to which pop has the baby inside.
  • Please take caution when playing this game. This is not recommended for parties with small children. Inform your guests of the little plastic baby to avoid any choking hazards.

How to Incorporate this Idea into a Gender Reveal Party:
  • Decorate half your cake pops in pink and half your cake pops in blue.
  • Your guests may cast their vote for boy or girl by choosing a cake pop to represent their best guess.
  • When someone finds the baby, they shout "It's a boy" or "It's a girl" depending on the color pop they find the baby in.
