The Free Entrance Days for 2024 will be:
- January 15: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- April 20: First Day of National Park Week
- June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
- August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
- September 28: National Public Lands Day
- November 11: Veterans Day

National parks are America's best idea, and more than 400 parks are available to everyone every day. The fee-free days provide an excellent opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that usually charge an entrance fee.
Colorado sites, monuments, and parks in the National Park Service include:
- Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site, La Junta
- Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Montrose
- Colorado National Monument, Fruita
- Curecanti National Recreation Area, Gunnison
- Dinosaur National Monument, Dinosaur
- Florissant Fossil Beds, Florissant
- Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve, Mosca
- Hovenweep National Monument, Cortez
- Mesa Verde National Park, Cortez and Manco
- Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park and Grand Lake
- Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site, Kiowa County
- Yucca House National Monument, Cortez
In addition, any fourth-grade student can get a free pass through the Every Kid Outdoors program; active duty military and any citizen with a permanent disability can also get free passes.
To continue the national park adventure beyond free entrance days, the annual $80 America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Pass allows unlimited entrance to more than 2,000 federal recreation areas, including all national parks.
