Macaroni KID Recipe: Simple No-Bake Peanut Butter & Chocolate Cookies

By Sarah Hauge, Publisher, Macaroni Kid, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Centennial February 6, 2019

I do enjoy baking with my children from time to time, hoping to improve their culinary skills along the way, but our family hasn't reached the point where my kids can safely handle using the oven without assistance. No-bake recipes to the rescue!

Here's one of my all-time favorite cookie recipes:

Ingredients:

  • Crackers (our family likes using Ritz Crackers for this recipe)
  • Melting chocolate
  • Peanut butter
  • Optional: Sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Spread peanut butter between two crackers.
  2. Dip the sandwiched cookies in melted chocolate.
  3. Optional: Decorate with festive sprinkles.
  4. Cool in the fridge/freezer until the chocolate is set.
  5. ENJOY!

Get creative with different flavor combos:

  • Classic: peanut butter filling + milk chocolate coating
  • Smore's: marshmallow creme filling + dark chocolate coating
  • Decadent: hazelnut spread filling + white chocolate coating
