The Curtis Center for the Arts (in Greenwood Village) offers classes for children of all ages and artistic abilities. Listed below are some fun youth classes coming to the studio this Fall. Classes are listed by the earliest date available.
After School Youth Art Programs (Ages 6-12)
Each program introduces a different art medium. Sessions are $50 per student.
- Ages 6-12: Tuesdays, September 7-28, Mixed Up Animals ~ CLASS IS FULL
- Ages 8-14: Thursdays, September 9-30, Paper Mache Animal Head Mask Making
- Ages 9-12: Tuesdays, November 2-30, Dream Big and Small
- Ages 9-12: Thursdays, November 4- December 2, Design Fundamentals for Kids
Pee Wee Art (Ages 3-5)
Each program introduces a new art medium, helping preschoolers develop their creative process. Participants must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Sessions are $25 each.
- September 8 or 22: Bubble Wrap Art
- October 13 or 20: Pumpkin Pouring
- November 3 or 17: Turkey Mania
- December 8 or 15: Peek a Boo Snowman
Observational Drawing for Kids (Ages 9-12)
Students will learn to translate pictures and three-dimensional objects into a two-dimensional drawing on paper. The session is $45 per student.
- Fridays, September 10 - October 1
Teen Art Classes (Ages 11-16)
Students will learn new art mediums and techniques for either improving or developing their artistic skills.
- Ages 11-16: Mondays, September 13 - October 11: Introduction to Mixed Media ($75)
- Ages 12-17: Thursdays, October 7-14: Printmaking Mini Session ($50)
- Ages 12-16: Mondays, November 1-29: Ceramics ($75)
Creature Creations (Ages 8-14)
Students will create their own creatures from clay. Learn the basics of hand-building and slab construction. Sessions are $25 each.
- Saturday, October 2 @ 9am
- Saturday, October 2 @ 1pm
Spooktacular Art (Ages 6-12)
Projects will include plaster mask making, fused glass plates, and canvas painting. Sessions are $25 per student.

Colored Pencils for Kids (Ages 9-12)
Students will learn fun techniques to working with colored pencils and they will learn how to apply color, blend, and layer colors to create colorful drawings. The session is $45 per student.
