Date Night is a Great Night at Uncorked Kitchen

By Kyrie Collins, Macaroni KID Highlands Ranch-Parker-Castle Rock-Lone Tree Publisher May 2, 2023

Ditch the "dinner and a movie" routine for something new... like an intimate cooking class!

Uncorked Kitchen offers three-hour interactive cooking events where couples participate in creating a three-course gourmet meal guided by a professional chef. Slice, dice, and saute your way through the evening, then dine and drink to celebrate your culinary creation.

According to a report by the National Marriage Project, "husbands and wives who have frequent date nights were significantly more likely to report being 'very happy' in their marriages, compared to those who did not."

Why I Love Date Night at Uncorked Kitchen

It can sometimes feel like a chore when I cook dinner at home. But add some music, a glass of wine, and my husband's company and it turns into a date! Uncorked Kitchen's date nights really can't be beat! The menus are so enticing and change seasonally, with themes like Well-Fed Winter and Aprés Ski to European Summer and Flavors of Hawaii.

Date Nights include a bottle of wine to enjoy while cooking and eating. The experienced chefs are always professional but entertaining and offer great cooking tips along the way. Plus, we get a copy of all the recipes to recreate the experience at home! Although the class includes several other couples (class sizes range from 10-16 attendees), workstations are set up for couples or small groups, so it is still an intimate experience.

There is plenty of time for conversation during the event, so it's also perfect for a double date. My sister and brother-in-law joined us on our last date, and they summed up the evening with one word: superb!

I especially love attending in the summer because we get the added benefit of a gorgeous view at sunset!

Why My Husband Loves Date Night at Uncorked Kitchen

I LOVE date nights at Uncorked Kitchen. I've learned so much about knife handling, baking, grilling, and frying. Also, I've added a few kitchen toys to my Amazon wish list. I mean, who doesn't need a laser thermometer to check the temperature of the oil they're going to fry in, right?

The chefs are all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, sharing stories from their time in the kitchen. They're also great at putting up all my questions and random comments.

And the food, so much good food. Cooking and snacking throughout the evening ensures a full belly by the time we leave. I'm usually past the point of feeling full when I depart, but that's a whole different topic. From appetizers to the main course to some of the best desserts ever (I'm looking at you, caramel sea salt ice cream), the whole experience is fun, entertaining, and an excellent way to spend the evening with my wife.

In addition to Date Nights, Uncorked Kitchen offers Baking Classes, Family Cooking Classes, Camps and Classes for Kids and Teens, Wine Tasting events, and more! Date Nights fill up quickly, especially in the summer, and many May events are already sold out.

About the Owners

In 2012, Katie and Eric Robbins began to plan their return to Colorado from Massachusetts. Eric was building his career as a Chef, and Katie was running a My Gym franchise with her father back in Massachusetts. Eric, a Colorado native, always knew he wanted to come back to Colorado and raise his family here.

When they started to explore what they would do when they moved to Colorado, their entrepreneurial juices started to flow. Uncorked Kitchen was established in the Fall of 2015 to provide a venue and experience that enhances lives and communities through cooking, food, and wine.

They have put together a fantastic team of chefs and wine bar staff to ensure you feel welcomed and comfortable in your surroundings as soon as you walk in the door. Today, Katie (CEO) and Eric (Executive Chef) continue to enhance their offerings for you!
