Give Back with a Reverse Advent Calendar

Clean out BEFORE December to enjoy a less stressful holiday season

Every December, I find myself in the same predicament. My kids receive an overly generous amount of gifts and I become overwhelmed by the responsibility of finding places to store things. In an attempt to preemptively remove the source of stress, we're going to complete a reverse advent calendar through the month of November. Try it with us!

All you need is an empty box. Each day, starting on November 1, fill the box with one item. By the end of the month, you'll have collected 30 items! Then, on December 1st, drop off your box of loved items to a local organization that can re-gift the items to those in need.

Items to consider for your box:

  • Toys
  • Books
  • Board games
  • Puzzles
  • Movies
  • CDs
  • Art supplies
  • Clothes
  • Non-perishable treats
