Our Favorite Christmas-Themed Fun Run Events along CO's Front Range

Lace up your shoes and run, run Rudolph this season at a holiday fun run or walking tour near you. Don your festive attire and walk, run, or jog your way along Colorado's beautiful Front Range. Events are listed in chronological order.

Macaroni KID tip: Tie some jingle bells to your shoelaces to add festive cheer to your stride.


Denver Holiday Lights & Sights History Walking Tour | Downtown Denver
Select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through December 23
Take a 2-hour small-group walking tour of "The Christmas City" and see some of the most scenic holiday decorations and light displays in the downtown area such as the Denver Art Museum and the 16th Street Mall. After the tour, hop on the free shuttle to the Christkindl German Market (closed on Sundays) to explore the stalls at your own leisure.


All-Out Fa La La 5K/10K/Half Marathon | Church Ranch Office Park, Westminster
Saturday, December 2
Join the community at the 12th annual Fa La La to support A Precious Child and run through the beautiful Flatirons backdrop. Choose from 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon courses along the Big Dry Creek Trail, and come in your best festive costumes for Christmas fun.


Candy Cane 1M/5K/12K Course | Goose Gossage Park, Colorado Springs
Saturday, December 2
Dress in your active Christmas attire for an annual fun run through Goose Gossage Park. Kids (ages 10 and under) can race their way through the kid's dash, an untimed smaller course with all the same Christmas energy. 


Chasing Santa 5K / Cycling Santa 6/10/22-Miler | Pima at North Creek Complex, Colorado Springs
Saturday, December 2
Run, walk, or bike your way along the Greenway Trail. Registration includes a complete Santa suit: Pants, Jacket, Belt, Hat, and a Beard! Toddlers (ages 4 and under) can join their families for FREE and still receive a full Santa suit.


Ugly Sweater 5K | Left Hand Tasting Room, Longmont
Saturday, December 2
Put on your fun holiday attire and run or walk your way along a 5k trek. At the end of the course, toast to your success with a free local craft beer.


Rudolf Ramble 5K | City Park, Denver
Sunday, December 3
Rudolph loves to Ramble around Colorado! Grab your running or walking shoes and join the Rudolph Search and Rescue Team as participants help Santa reunite with Rudolph just in time for Christmas. Do your part to save Christmas!


Superior Stocking Run 5K | Purple Park, Superior
Sunday, December 3
Get in the holiday spirit with Superior's festive 5K fun run. All finishers will receive a Stocking Run finisher medal which doubles as a Christmas tree ornament. Kids age 8 and under will also get to choose a tiny toy at packet pickup.


Candy Cane 1M/5K/12K Course | Westfield Village Park, Westminster
Sunday, December 3
Put on your festive Christmas activewear for a fun run through Westfield Village Park. Kids (ages 10 and under) can race their way through the kid's dash, an untimed smaller course with all the same Christmas energy. 


Winterfest 5K and Family Walk | Carpenter Park, Thornton
Saturday, December 9
Experience a festive atmosphere with a chip-timed 5K or casual (and shorter) untimed fun run. Participants will be greeted at the finish line with a festive, collectible mug and a warm beverage, as well as family-friendly activities such as ice skating, visits with Santa, and shopping at the Holiday Marketplace.


Sweaty Sweater 5K  | Foothills Mall, Fort Collins
Saturday, December 9
Get ready to show off your most outrageous and unforgettable UGLY sweater at the Sweaty Sweater Race! This event is for everyone - whether you're walking with friends, running for an award, or just prancing towards the finish line for some beer and hot chocolate.


Jingle Bell Run 5K or 1 Mile Race | Washington Park, Denver
Sunday, December 10
The Jingle Bell Run is where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume and feel good about doing good. In partnership with the Arthritis Foundation, participants will jingle all the way to a cure for arthritis.


Santa's Dash for Ca$h 5K or 1 Mile | Sloan Lake Park, Denver
Saturday, December 16
Run for fun... and a chance to win up to $100! Every finisher receives a gift envelope with a surprise inside. Bring your camera for a photo with Santa too.


Toy Drop 5K/10K/15K | Mehaffey Park, Loveland
Saturday, December 16
Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the start line. "Drop" them off as you take off running around Meadowbrook Natural Area, Mehaffey Park, and Mariana Butte. Proceeds go to Realities for Children. 


Ugly Sweater 5K | Washington Park, Denver
Sunday, December 17
Dress in a tacky sweater - the more tinsel, bows, reindeer, and candy canes, the better! All finishers will receive a race medal, a themed shirt, and treats at the finish line expo.
