6 Colorful Ways to Celebrate the End of the School Year with Crayola

By Sarah Hauge, Publisher, Macaroni Kid, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Centennial May 19, 2020

The school year ended in a way that none of us could have possibly predicted. Instead of field days and graduation parties, we've found ourselves spending the end of the year at home. Despite the turn of events, we're celebrating BIG because the truth is... WE DID IT!

Students across the globe persevered through a time unlike any other, and if things had continued like 'normal,' our family would've found a reason to celebrate just the same. So, we got a bit creative and came up with 6 ways to bring some color into our at-home end-of-school celebrations with a little help from Crayola.

Disclosure: I received Crayola products and compensation for the purpose of this review. All opinions are 100% my own.

1. Last Day of School Sign

Frame your FREE Last Day of School printable sign and dress up for a "porchtrait." We added a pop of color with Crayola's silky smooth Gel Crayons.

2. DIY Yard Letters

Make your own oversized yard letters with foam poster board and BBQ skewers. We brought out the wow factor with Crayola's XL Poster Markers. These markers are so big that we got more coverage faster than the average marker.

3. School Year Folder

Get your school work organized with a decorated file folder. We added some glitz and glam with Crayola's Glitter Markers. No more drab file folders in our house!

4. Confetti Cannon

Create a confetti cannon with an empty paper tube, a balloon, tape, and paper. We added some shine with Crayola's Metallic Outline Markers. The way the color appears around the metallic lines is like magic before your eyes. We've never seen a product quite like this before!

5. Learning Rocks

Show off what you've learned over the year by painting rocks with sight words, spelling words, and vocabulary words. Crayola's paints are so vibrant! Since our rocks will find a home outside, we sealed the paintings to keep them bright and colorful even longer.

6. Crayola Printables

Add to your schoolyear time capsule with some FREE coloring pages direct from Crayola. We used the Take Note Permanent Markers to add an array of bold colors to our printables.
