The BirthPlace at Littleton Adventist Hospital is prepared to support all types of deliveries and special circumstances, from a pregnancy with complications to the birth of multiples to adoptions and surrogacies.
Delivery of Multiples
We are here to help guide every family as they prepare to bring one or multiple babies home from the hospital. Prior to your due date, you will have a chance to talk to a member of our staff to discuss what to expect during delivery and what your preferences are. We have daily lactation support onsite to help you understand how to nurse multiple babies, and we will help provide additional community resources to help support you and your babies at home!
Known NICU Admissions
Occasionally babies born at The BirthPlace at Littleton Adventist Hospital may require a little bit of extra care during their stay. If you know your baby(ies) will require special attention in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you can speak with a member of our NICU staff to get your questions and concerns addressed, and we can help educate you on what to expect during your baby’s NICU stay. In our Level III NICU, our fantastic team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals provide personal and loving attention to infants requiring special care.
Adoption and Surrogacy
Our staff is specially trained to assist when families are bringing a baby into the world through adoption and surrogacy. We help by ensuring appropriate legal documents are received prior to the birth, and we assist with written birth plans to make sure our staff is aware of things like the feeding plan and who will get a matching wrist band with the baby.
We also use HIPPA friendly door signage so that all of our hospital caregivers can be sensitive when engaging with the patient.
Our goal is to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved and to provide a comfortable environment for all.
