Día de Los Muertos Festival at Denver Botanic Gardens is November 5

Bring your family and friends to celebrate this colorful, heartfelt tradition at the Gardens. Now in its 11th year, this Day of the Dead celebration offers fun for the whole family.

You must purchase a ticket online for a specific date and time to visit. Tickets will not be available onsite.

Activities

Guests will enjoy a variety of live performances throughout the day. Museo de las Americas will be on site with craft activities for the children (while supplies last).

Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit the Altars or Remembrance, view the Calacas Art Exchange Display, and see Printing Press Demonstrations with Javier Flores.

Día de Los Muertos costumes are encouraged. Enter the costume contest for a chance to win a $25 gift card.

Schedule of Performances

  • 9:30 AM: Aztec Dance Demonstration by Aztec Grupo Huitzilopochtli
  • 10:30 AM: Mexican Folk Dance with México en la Piel
  • 11:30 AM: Mexican Folk Dance with Sangre de México
  • Noon: Live Art Demonstration by Julio Mendoza
  • 1:00 PM: Calavera Costume Contest (registration from 12:15–12:45 PM)
  • 2:15 PM: Mexican Folk Dance with ArtistiCO

El Mercado 

Shop the Indoor Mercado at Mitchell Hall or the Outdoor Mercado at the UMB Bank Amphitheater from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM. The Mercado showcases artists from Colorado selling their original art pieces, prints, folk art, jewelry, t-shirt designs, and more.
