The official stable of Chatfield State Park is thrilled to be back for a second summer camp season in 2025!
Gary and Michelle Reiber, who took over the stables in 2024, are the proud new owners of Big Horn Stables at Chatfield State Park, the official horseback riding stable inside Chatfield. They are excited to welcome your horse enthusiasts to the all new stables for their second summer season!
Gary and Michelle also own 12 Mile Stables located in Cherry Creek State Park as well as Kodiak Ranch. They have been Ranch owners for over 20 years and have an extensive background in the western culture. They truly enjoying sharing their passion of horses and the western lifestyle with all of the little buckaroos that join in summer day camp and all of the stables visitors.
Why choose Big Horn Stables?
As of 2024, the official stable of Chatfield State Park is under new ownership, and they have gotten nothing but rave reviews from their guests and campers since they took over. Gary and Michelle invite your buckaroos to hop in the saddle for summer camp this year.
Your camper will be assigned their own horse for the week. They will learn from experienced camp leaders how to groom, saddle, and care for their horse, and have tons of fun learning in the Arena and on Trail Rides. On the last day of camp, we host a rodeo so the parents of all the buckaroos can come and see everything their kiddos have learned all week at the stables!

- Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm
- Weekly sessions from May 19 through August 23
