1. Heaven Creamery
6955 S York Street #420, Centennial

Mac Kid tip: The Tropical Banana Split is absolutely divine... and HUGE! We tried three different ice cream flavors and split the sundae between the 4 of us. With over 500 flavors in rotation, there's bound to be a favorite for you!

2. Bonnie Brae Ice Cream
799 S University Blvd, Denver

Mac Kid tip: A Denver classic, Bonnie Brae Ice Cream is scooping up house-made flavors that will make you smile. My favorite is the famous Cappuccino Crunch, but my kids are all about the cookie dough and candy-bar varieties.

3. HipPOPs - Denver Area Food Truck

Mac Kid tip: Check out their online calendar via Instagram to find out when the truck will be near you or take advantage of the online ordering platform to have fresh, small-batch, local ice cream and gelato delivered straight to your front door.

4. Mile High Kona Ice - Denver Area Food Truck
Book for an event or delivery

Mac Kid tip: Try the rainbow ice. With so many flavors to choose from, the rainbow option lets you sample a whole array of sweet, refreshing ice in one cup.

1. Ana's Norwegian Bakery
In-home bakery, Centennial

Mac Kid tip: Escape to Norway with a bite of traditional flavors. Our family recommends the Rosin Boller and Skoleboller (with icing and coconut).

2. Colorado's Duffeyroll Cafe Bakery
Three south Denver locations!

4994 E Hampden, Denver
1290 S Pearl St, Denver
5198 S Broadway, Englewood

Mac Kid tip: Try the savory or sweet bake-at-home pans for your next family event -- available for pick up or shipped straight to your home!

3. Donut Maker
9625 E Arapahoe Rd, Ste E, Greenwood Village

Mac Kid tip: You really can't go wrong with any of their clever flavor combinations. For a timeless favorite, try the blueberry raised donuts.

4. The Donut
5270 E Arapahoe Rd, Centennial
Visit us on Facebook

Mac Kid tip: Don't miss the red velvet donuts! These dense, flavorful morsels of goodness are simply divine.

5. Winchell's Donut House
Lots and lots of locations across the county!

6550 E Evans, Denver
1301 S Broadway, Denver
5195 W 1st Avenue, Denver

Mac Kid tip: With Winchell's locations all over the country, you can count on all your favorites wherever you may be. Want to switch up your drink order? Try a specialty beverage such as a fruity Licuado or an icy Raspado.

6. Crumbl Cookies
8547 E Arapahoe Road, Unit C, Greenwood Village

Mac Kid tip: These cookies are HUGE, so pick up an assortment and cut them into 4ths while they're still in the box. This makes the cookies easier to grab-and-go for a quick, little indulgence while getting to sample a variety of flavors.

1. The Bagel Deli & Restaurant

Mac Kid tip: The portions are quite generous, so split your meal and leave room for a treat from the bakery. Open your tastebuds to authentic rugelach, strudel, and kugel treats.

2. NYC Bagel & Sandwich Shop
9555 E Arapahoe Road, Ste 16, Greenwood Village

Mac Kid tip: Indulge your inner child with a rainbow bagel. We've never seen bagels quite as fun as these ones. Call ahead to add sprinkles to this wildly colorful creation.

3. Trompeau Bakery
2950 S Broadway, Englewood

Mac Kid tip: Savory or sweet, this bakery has got it all! Swing through for a ready-made Turkey Apple Brie Sandwich for a lunch on their outdoor patio or try a Take-and-Bake Quiche for a special brunch at home. The holiday menu is loaded with classics such as pies, tarts, and buche de noels- traditional yule logs.

Plus, if you're a fan of the show "The Great British Bakeoff," you'll find some great goodies here that contestants have tried in the Technical Challenge round of the show.

4. Chocklo Restaurant & Denver Area Food Truck
6830 S Yosemite Street, Centennial

Mac Kid tip: Give your taste buds an international experience with some of the most scrumptious Latin American street food you'll find in all of Denver. This is the real deal! There are so many great menu options that you'll want to pre-plan for coming back again and again. If you're looking for an entree recommendation, I could eat the Veggie Arepa all day, every day!

Want to finish off your meal with a sweet option? There's a fantastic list of specialty desserts including churros, rice pudding, flan, tropical smoothies, and more.

5. Sabroso! Fresh Mexican Grill
8719 E Dry Creek Rd, C, Centennial

Mac Kid tip: Quench your thirst with homemade aguas frescas or fresh-squeezed juices. To satisfy your sweet tooth, try the buñuelitos, flan, or other ready-made treats at the dessert counter.

6. Uncorked Kitchen & Wine Bar
8171 S Chester St, Ste A, Centennial

Mac Kid tip: Book the sitter and go! Dine at the wine bar or immerse yourself in a hands-on culinary experience with professionally-trained chefs. Not only will you pick up some cooking skills, but you'll get to enjoy the fruit of your labor.
