While there are tons of family-fun events and activities happening right here in Englewood, Greenwood Village, and Centennial, we've rounded up our top 5 publisher picks (including local fun and events worth the drive) to help make your weekend plans a bit easier.

Friday & Saturday, May 10 & 11: ⛺ KOA's Care Camps Big Weekend (All Ages)

  • Location: Participating KOA Camps throughout the US
  • Your stay will make a difference in the lives of children with cancer by helping raise funds for medically supervised pediatric oncology camps. These camps help children who have cancer enjoy care-free time focusing on fun, friends, and activities instead of on their illness.
  • Stay at a participating KOA campground on May 10 & 11, and 50%* of the cost of the site on the second night will benefit The Care Camps Foundation!

Saturday, May 11: 🐦 Global Big Day Birding Walk (All Ages)

  • Location: Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve | Greenwood Village (Also happening at Bible Park in Denver)
  • A ”Big Day” is a special birding holiday that encourages nature lovers around the world to get outside and look for birds. No experience or birding knowledge is needed to join! Bird fans of all ages and abilities are welcome. Each walk will be led by an experienced birder who will record all of the birds we see into eBird.

Saturday & Sunday, May 11 & 12: 🎭 Bluey's Big Play

  • Location: Buell Theatre at Denver Performing Arts Complex | Denver
  • Bluey’s Big Play is a brand-new theatrical adaptation of the Emmy® award-winning children’s television series. When Dad feels like a little bit of Sunday afternoon time out, Bluey and Bingo have other plans! Join them as they pull out all of the games and cleverness at their disposal to get Dad off that bean bag.

Saturday, May 11: 🥳 Celebrate Englewood (All Ages)

  • Location: Englewood Civic Center | Englewood
  • Get to know who is in those trucks you see all around the city. Meet employees to find out about the department they work for and what their responsibilities to the city are.

Sunday, May 12: 🤣 Family-Friendly Comedy Show with Geoff Tice (All Ages)

  • Location: Comedy Works South | Greenwood Village
  • Geoff Tice is a Denver-based comedian, writer, podcaster, actor, and artist. He is a regular at Comedy Works and has toured his upbeat, energetic style of stand-up comedy across the country.
  • $12-$20.
